Camera Movement & Editing:
1) Camera movement:
a) Crane: 1.16: The use of this camera movement creates a quick motion effect giving a large overview of the setting and what's going on. Allows the audience to see the action taking place and an idea of why the director may have chosen this type of camera movement. It displays a sense of urgency seeing that the characters are being chased and a lot of dramatic motion is recorded. It also adds lots of rapid motion which enhances the dramatic scene.
b) Tilt: 2.15: This use of camera movement creates a dramatic image and a high angle shot. It allows the audience to see what is going on from a still view with no movement. It foreshadows the next steps which will commence in the following scene. It also highlights how even the character are looking upwards reducing patience of the audience. It adds interest to the characters.
c) Pan: 2.45: This camera movement creates a field of action and drama. It adds lots of tension to the scene creating a more lively scene. The director chose to add this camera movement due to it being attractive to the audience and enhances.
2) Editing:
a) Straight Cut: This is often used throughout the Minority Report. It allows the director to get straight to the point adding quick action and movement.
b) Fade: It is typically used at the end of the scene. It shows the audience the end of the scene or even start of a new scene.
