 First 10 Questions:


1) Which part of Media are you looking forward to the most?

I’m looking forward to learn more about how to edit and how media is used to make movies.


2) What knowledge and skills do you hope to learn in Media?

I hope to learn how to edit in more detail.


3) What grade are you realistically hoping to achieve in Media?

Realistically, I am aiming to achieve a grade 6/7 or more when I complete my media studies.


4) What device do you use most to access the media? (The media = news, TV, music, film, social media etc.) 

I most of the time use my phone to access all social media, news but TV if watching a film.


5) What is your average 'screen time' (or equivalent) on your phone each day. Is this about right, too little or too much? Why? 

My screen time is an average of 4-5 hours a week, every day around 3hours a day. I think it is quite high and that it should decrease since I should focus more on study and school.


6) What was the last TV programme or film you watched?

The last film I watched was the F1 movie.


7) What device or subscription do you use to listen to music?

I use my phone and iPad if I listen to music and I use Spotify. 


8) Do you play videogames? If so, what do you play games on and what is your favourite game?

I play block blast often and its my favourite.


9) Are you on social media? If so, what social media do you have and why do you like it? 

I use Instagram, WhatsApp, snapchat and I like it because it is a good way for communication and entertaining.


10) Finally, do you think the media is a positive or negative thing for young people? Why?

I think Media is a positive because it is what we are surrounded by daily and its a way to learn how to edit.

 Audience Effects Theory:   1) Write a definition of a  passive  audience:   It is when everyone takes in the same views having the same effect on everyone. The message is taken in passively.  2)  Write a definition of an active audience:  Active audience is the more modern view and people have their own interactions regarding the information they take in.  3) Write a definition of the hypodermic needle theory:  It is the theory that consumers are always passive as if the producers are having the information injected into their minds.
