Iron Man 3: 

COSTUME & MAKE-UP:                                                                                                                          Denotation: Character of Iron Man has a metal suit, where the centre of his chest has an illuminating circle.                                                                                                                                                  Connotation: Illustrates how he has high safety due to the material of the suit showing his extra protection especially through the movie. The light in the centre connotes the placement of his heart.

LIGHTING & COLOUR:                                                                                                                          Denotation: The setting is dark. misty and full of smoke. However some scenes full of normal light with less tension.                                                                                                                          Connotation: Portrays how the villain has a dark setting creating a sense of action and tension for the audience. The pitch black surrounding illustrates how anything unexpected may happen and will not be seen. Nonetheless, when the character of Iron Man is in the scene, there is bright light shone especially at the protagonist setting the idea to the audience that he has a great character. 

ACTOR MOVEMENT & PLACEMENT:                                                                                              Denotation: There is a lot of quick action and movement. Iron Man has lots of fast movement specifically  flying.                                                                                                              Connotation: This creates a realistic scene with fast movement. This allows the audience to have a sense of rush and urgency. However, it builds up tension that something might happen because the audience may feel that when people rush, there isn't precision and something bad may happen. 

SETTING & PROPS:                                                                                                                                  Denotation: Very dark and blurry setting.                                                                                                    Connotation: This adds danger throughout the scenes. This creates a feeling on unsafety where something horrible may occur leading to worse problems. 

RDR2: 

COSTUME & MAKE-UP:                                                                                                                          Denotation: Most characters have a similar clothing with trousers, a shirt and a jacket.  Many of them have marks and scuffs on their faces.                                                                                                        Connotation: They are all wearing very similar clothes because of the setting being very wintery and cold illustrating how most characters are wearing those clothes. In addition, these clothes connotes how its very old and a different era. 

LIGHTING & COLOUR:                                                                                                                          Denotation: The setting is a bright blue sky with many mountains and showy areas at some parts. There is lots of greenery.                                                                                                                                      Connotation: Connotes the nature centred environment, could make the audience think that there was a reduce of global warming. It also illustrates how the clothing of the characters is made for the environment of the scene. However at some points its musty and sandy. 

ACTOR MOVEMENT & PLACEMENT:                                                                                                Denotation: There is a lot of quick action and movement. Many of the characters were galloping on horses. In addition characters stand in confidence and straight backs.                                                          Connotation: This creates a realistic scene of movement. It creates a fast moving expedition portraying the older era. Many of the action scenes built lots of action throughout the trailer emphasising to the audience how its an action movie which many people enjoy. 

SETTING & PROPS:                                                                                                                                Denotation: Many props were used including knifes, horses and guns. The setting is very dark and realistic.                                                                                                                                Connotation: This adds danger throughout the scenes, due to the use of props which is very realistic. It makes the audience feel a sense of a perilous journey. The horses illustrate how their use of transport worked and how horses were used then. 

STRANGER THINGS: 

COSTUME & MAKE-UP:                                                                                                                        Denotation: Most characters have a similar clothing with trousers, a shirt and a jacket, making them dress as younger kids. Some characters dressed in a suit and tie. The face make-up is a bloody nose.        Connotation: They are all wearing very similar clothes because of the way the kids are being illustrated showing their age. The bloody nose connotes the danger characters go through especially because it being more action and drama. The older characters wearing suits portray their personality and job throughout the trailer.

LIGHTING & COLOUR:                                                                                                                        Denotation: The setting is a bright blue sky with lots of greenery and nature. However it is very dark throughout.                                                                                                              Connotation: Connotes the danger in the dark not knowing what happens. We can tell its daytime at the start of the trailer with bright lighting. The bright lighting also adds safety and sets the image that audience that the characters feel the same way.

ACTOR MOVEMENT & PLACEMENT:                                                                                              Denotation: There is a lot of quick action and movement. Many of the characters were riding bikes illustrating part of their young age and fun.                                                                      Connotation: This creates a realistic scene where audience can relate to many of the characters especially through their actions of their own childhood. There was realistic movement especially when a car flipped over creating a flame causing a fire which added lots of realism in the trailer. This attracts the audience due to the creativity. 

SETTING & PROPS:                                                                                                                              Denotation: Props were used including bicycles, cars and guns. The setting is during the daytime and realistic.                                                                                                                            Connotation: The van being flipped as a prop created action during that scene which seemed extremely real.

NIKE: 

COSTUME & MAKE-UP:                                                                                                                        Denotation: Most characters wore athletic clothing such as training shorts or trainers. Outfits were much more modern, daily use of people.                                                                              Connotation: They are all wearing very similar clothes because many people in the modern world participate in the same sport. 

LIGHTING & COLOUR:                                                                                                                        Denotation: The colour is quite rainy due to it being set in England where its also very cloudy. Slowly towards the ending, we see houses with ice and snow, very windy areas.                                                  Connotation: There was a sport called rowing which deeply links to England due to its environment being full of lakes, rivers. 

ACTOR MOVEMENT & PLACEMENT:                                                                                              Denotation: There is a lot of fast movement. Some of the people were rowing using oars. In addition many were doing various things, such as running or playing a sport.                                                    Connotation: This creates a relatable scene due to many sport people participating in sport. Many of them performing in the sports, are young which connotes how they may be trying to impress their parents at a young age which many teens and kids do. 

SETTING & PROPS:                                                                                                                              Denotation: Many props were footballs, boxing gloves, trainers, and a British flag.    Connotation: This highlights that the setting is full of sports. The British flag illustrates how London has various sports portraying how its very unique. The add was set in London, in football pitch and even a boxing centre.
