The advert is called 'Represent' because Lady Leshurr is representing her community raising awareness about donating blood since many people of the black and asian race are needed to donate.

The producers of this advert have chosen a celebrities to represent different parts of the advert since many people look up to the people who are well known which helps advertise the advert allowing more people to follow and possibly donate.

6) What are the connotations of the slow-paced long shot of empty chairs at the end of the advert?

This creates an effect that maybe people will have a sense of realisation and donate since it shows how these people of this race don't donate.

The advert uses a Muslim ( ethnicity differences )  women as a scientist which is not normalised and often seen, the advert continues to use people of different race such as the man who is part of parliament who is part of the Asian community and boxer of different ethnicity.

9) How does the advert reinforce stereotypes ?

In the advert, white people are not used which can cause some controversy between groups and the feeling of discrimination.

10) Choose one key moment from the advert and write an analysis of the connotations of camera shots and mise-en-scene (CLAMPS).

One camera shot used was the zoom out, long shot of the three seats at the end of the advert. It shows emptiness of the area meaning people could possibly feel empathy towards other in need. It shows how the BAME community isn't contributing and donating blood.
