1) What do we know about the Arctic Monkeys audience? Think demographics, psychographics and how they got into the band.

It aims at reasonably young people who are in middle class and mainly white people. Some psychographics are reformers and explorers. 

2) What audience pleasures are offered by the music video for I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor?

It would include diversion with the fast pace music and upbeat music. Some fans may have personal relationships with the band through the different lyrics such as partying, girls and clubbing. Some groups may be reformer and explorer. Voyeuristic pleasure because some may have the enjoyment of watching performances and maybe vicarious pleasure since people may want to be like the characters and relate to them  

3) Pick out three particular shots, scenes or moments in the video that would particularly appeal to Arctic Monkeys fans. Why did you choose those moments?

4) How did fans take a leading role in making Arctic Monkeys famous back in 2005?

Fans would take CDs from concerts or performances from Artic Monkey. Fans are then able to download the music and share the music from person to person. This would allow people who didn't attend the concerts. This created more talk about the band which people know more about.

5) How are fans positioned to respond to the band? What does Arctic Monkeys want fans to think about their video?

They want the fans to engage with their video and think more closer to them and as active participants. They want them to feel a connection and some sort of communication with the music they are listening to.

1) How did the Arctic Monkeys first achieve success and build up their fanbase? 

It was in the early 2000s and it expanded slowly by starting to build their fanbase in their local area where their music was more known and related to. Slowly their were able to also build online community and fans connected. 

2) Why was P2P file sharing and MySpace an unexpected aspect to Arctic Monkeys' early success?

Because this wasn't made by the band but rather the fans which boosted their success and who they were. It became successful as a part of expanding who the band was.

3) How does the rise of Arctic Monkeys differ from how BLACKPINK were formed and became famous?

Artic Monkeys wasn't owned by a company rather formed between friends and gained social success through fans and building their own social media fanbase. BLACKPINK however was constructed through a major entertainment company which followed a system. 

4) Who is Arctic Monkeys record label and how many copies did they sell of their debut album? Why did they choose an independent record label?

They signed with an independent record label called Domino Records and sold over 350,000 copies in its first week of release for their first album. 

5) Looking at the wider music industry, has the internet been a positive or negative development for record companies and artists? Why?

It has had a positive impact on development for companies and artists because it meant that they were able to expand globally and expand its audience.
